ALIGN="BOTTOM" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0"></div> <bR> <div> Videl is the daughter of Mr Satan and first appears when Gohan goes to Orange Star High School. She is quite strong and fights crime in the city. She spends alot of time trying to find out who the Great Saiyaman is and what Gohan is hiding. She eventually works out the Gohan is the Great Saiyaman, she says she'll keep his secret only if Gohan will enter the World Tournament and teach her how to fly. Videl learns with Gohan's brother, Goten. She gets frustrated because Goten learns alot quicker and can't work out why. Mainly because Gohan hasn't told her that he and Goten are part Saiya-jin. Videl eventually gets the hang of flying and meets up with Gohan at the tournament. She sticks with him and the group.  The first tournament is the Junior Division, and Goten and Trunks make it to the final easily. The fight is quite even, but Trunks wins. Next is the main tournament, they all make it to the final 20 by punching a machine that measures their strength. Krillin has to fight some big buy, Piccolo has to fight Kaio Shin, Videl has to fight Spopovitch, Goku has to fight Vegeta and Gohan has to fight Kibito. Krillin is first to fight and wins easily. They all meet up with Goku there.  The first tournament is the Junior Division, and Goten and Trunks make it to the final easily. The fight is quite even, but Trunks wins. Next is the main tournament, they all make it to the final 20 by punching a machine that measures their strength. They all hold back their strength, except Vegeta who breaks the machine. Krillin has to fight some big buy, Piccolo has to fight Kaio Shin, Videl has to fight Spopovitch, Goku has to fight Vegeta and Gohan has to fight Kibito. Krillin is first to fight and wins easily. Next to fight is Piccolo and Kaio Shin. But when it is their turn to fight, Piccolo forfeits the match. Videl is next to fight against Spopovitch, she gets badly injured, and doesn't even cause any damage to Spopovitch despite how much she was attacking. She is rushed to an emergency room, but Gohan brings her a senzu bean and her health is fully restored. She runs back to the tournament area to see Gohan is about to fight Kibito. Shin tells Goku and the others to not interfer with what is about to happen. Gohan goes to full power and Spopovitch and Yamo step in and steal his energy, and then run off. Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo and Krillin follow Shin to where Spopovitch and Yamo fly off to. Kibito restores Gohan's energy, and the three of them fly after Shin and the others. Kibito tells them all about a wizard named Babidi who is trying to resurrect a monster called Majin Buu. Videl decides to go back as she can't keep up with them. On the way back she runs into Goten and Trunks. She tells them about Babidi and Buu. Goten and Trunks get really excited and fly off to see the Buu monster. Videl then meets up with Bulma and the others and helps them look for the Dragon Balls. They eventually find them all and summon the Dragon and grant the first wish. Then Goku appears and tells the dragon that they will use the second wish later. He then teleports them all the Lookout where Piccolo, Krillin, Dende, Popo and Goten and Trunks already are. ChiChi and Bulma ask where Gohan and Vegeta are and Goku has to tell them that they have been killed. ChiChi and Videl are devestated by the loss of Gohan and Bulma at the loss of Vegeta. Goku sends Trunks to go get the Dragon Radar which is still at the Capsule Corp and Goku goes to distract Majin Buu and Babidi. When they get back Goku tells them that he wants to teach a fusion technique that he learnt to Goten and Trunks so that they can fight Majin Buu. Goku teachs them the dance for as long as he can but he soon has to return to Heaven, so Piccolo takes over. Goten and Trunks soon master the fusion and fly off to face Majin Buu, but get beaten up.
